Mark Zibert

Born February 25, 1977 in Toronto, Mark Zibert has been shooting since 2000. His first major opportunity, at the age of 23, was a national campaign for Nike. Since that successful project, Zibert has expanded his client list and methods, now also working as a commercial director and DP and working with both editorial and advertising agencies on a global level.

Recent projects include the Adidas Olympic advertising campaign for the 2008 Games in Beijing. Zibert and team spent three months in China shooting the nation’s top athletes for what is considered the biggest single market campaign in Adidas history. The campaign won China it’s first Cannes Gold Lion and also won photography campaign of the year at the Lucie Awards.

Working outside the commercial realm is equally important to him. For the past few years, Zibert has been traveling to Africa (Rwanda, Uganda, Sierra Leone and Tanzania) to shoot documentary work for various non-government organizations that work to improve the lives of refugees, former child combatants and young people with, at risk or orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
